Hawzah News Agency –Speaking on Thursday in a meeting with seminary teachers and students, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said, "Qom seminary, which has always been a leader in creating hope, has a high position to support and guide the values of the Islamic Revolution".
The President said, "We believe that our jurisprudence has a richness that can meet human needs and today it is clear to the world that true religion can meet the needs of all human beings".
Ayatollah Raisi said, "We reached the destination where the work was pursued with belief and effort, but as the beliefs weakened, problems arose".
Referring to the country's economic problems, the President said, "If attention was paid to the principles of 'Economy of Resistance', we would not have the problems we have today".
Dr Raisi said, "There is no limit to gaining knowledge and experience from anywhere in the world, but in the prescription to solve the country's problems, we must work carefully because the prescriptions must be localised".
The President emphasised, "Despite all threats and sanctions, we will continue the path of the country's progress with certainty, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will never stop relying on the capacities of the young generation".
Ayatollah Raisi added, "All sanctions are aimed at stopping and slowing down the progress in the country, but the backwardness must be compensated with hope".
Dr Raisi said, "There is a work environment and effort for fundamental change in the country, and the think tank of seminaries can help the government in this way".
Stating that the government is developing a seventh development plan, the President said, "The role of the seminary will be central in formulating this plan".
Ayatollah Raisi stressed the need for close ties between seminaries and the government, saying, "The enemies do not want the Iranian nation to move forward and progress, but we must make the most of the opportunities and turn threats into opportunities".
